This experience gives all visitors a basic insight into falconry and the experience of handling and flying a trained hawk. Apart from the active practice of falconry, this an educational and photographic activity where the visitors can experience these magnificent birds up close. Enjoy the unforgettable thrill of seeing a hawk flying free and returning to your gloved fist.
Your experience will begin with an introductory talk about the programme of events and what falconry is all about. Your instructor will then take you to meet the birds where you will have a hands on photo session.
Next is the hawk walk in which you'll walk among the beautiful surroundings of Woodenbridge as you fly your own hawk deep in the Garden of Ireland. Finally there will be a question and answer session with the instructors and another opportunity for you to take any other photos.
